Days Inn is a hotel chain headquartered in the United States. It was founded in 1970 by Cecil B. Day, who opened the first location in Tybee Island, Georgia. The brand is now a part of the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, which used to be a part of Cendant. As of December 31, 2018, Days Inn includes 1,728 locations worldwide with 137,678 rooms.

"I'm aware that Days Inn is a part of a larger franchise, and consistent quality of operation is not always maintained when there are so many individual franchises all over the world. However, the experience I had here was inexcusable and definitely does not give a good representation of the Wyndham Hotel Group. I was young and naive when I took this job and wasn't really aware of what I was getting myself into. The payroll structure was very strange and in my opinion, it should be illegal. They would pay you $100 every 10 days (I know, random) and supplement the severe lack of pay with a free room at a different motel. Because I was young, broke, and desperately looking for a new place to stay - I took the position, but quickly found out that it wasn't worth it. I had the graveyard shift, so I would stay up all night by myself taking care of the entire building and all the guests on my own with no help, barely any training, and no support. Overall, the place was a complete mess. Very low standards in regards to service, cleanliness, organization, etc. Management was very unprofessional and had sexual relationships with other members of the staff, which made the environment uncomfortable. All in all, it just seemed like things were really out of control."

The manager maria would never answer her phone or show up the house keeper manager was rude and disrespectful. The front desk employees were doing job duties above there pau grade. Kept re hiring a gal that would never show upmanager was horrid"

"In my time there, I constantly fought with the owner on how the hotel should be ran. He constantly interfered with the hotel in ways that were counterproductive. "Very dirty building, no maintenance no elevators carry vacuum and cleaning supplies to 3rd floor no good carts carry your own trash to trash bin. Housekeeping supervisor can’t speak English . Rooms with dogs very stain and urine smells room rugs 40-50 years old"

"Worked there for couple days only because the management was horrible. The owner Mina is the worst thing that ever happened to that hotel. She has no idea how to take care of people that make her money. Manhandled another staff in front of me. Very rude to other staff too. "There is nothing good that comes with working at this hotel. They refuse to take taxes out, they leave used bedspreads on every bed. Only change sheets. They don't allow housekeepers to deep clean, such as filters, and dust on lamp shades.they under pay, and treat their workers horribly. The management barely speak English, so they are hard to understand. They live in the hotel the hotel"

"I can't wrap my head around how poor our manager was. Just before I wuit, she was hovering over me like a hawk. Would yell at me when the rooms aren't clean in under 15 minutes. Now lemme walk you through this. Each room has 2 beds, a night stand, drawer with tv and a bathroom. We have to strip and make the bed prestine with nursing folds to the sheets and thoroughly clean and dust the room along with THOROUGHLY CLEANING THE BATHROOM. Now the funny thing is. It's stated it should take 3p minutes per roon unless trashed beyond belief, 45 minutes. I was getting yelled at for not having it cleaned and out in 15 minutes. My body was so messed up after this job I had to get acupuncture because the muscles in my bad and shpulders were so tense from stress and over pushing myself. Let alone I get yelled at for eating too so whatever. If you go to days inn, please ask for your maids name and leave them a tip specifically to that maid because lord knows... My manager tried taking awat a hefty tip I got. Literally ripped it out of my hand. The other housemaids are too much of a pushover to stand up to her that i finally snapped and told her off and quit."

"I got a interview went in for front desk manager when I started the owner said I would start as front desk at 9.50 a hour and when there was a call he would get on the phone and listen and tell me what to say the would act like the staff was stupid. When I quite my check rate 8.50 not 9.50 like he told they lie to the stuff"

"I will never work for this Days inn at myrtle beach. The owner was rude only trains for 3 hours, before being put on my own. the place is old and dated. the owner yells at you for the simplest mistakes even though he didn't train you properly. Pay is bare minimum wage and definitely not worth it. Move on to a better job, you'll be sorry if you work here"

"This is the worst hotel to work at. The management is horrible, disrespectful, and they also mistreat the guests. The hotel is run down, needs to be rebuilt. They have bed bugs, ceilings are falling apart, etc. Also, you are not supposed to clean rooms with bed bugs in them and they made us go inside the room and clean the room with bed bugs in them. This was a stayover. They did not move the guest. The hardest part of my job was dealing with the way management was treating me and the guest. I did not enjoy anything about this job."

"I have been working for over 40 years and this was the worst place ever to work there. It wasn't too bad until they hired a new assistant manager. She would outright lie to people. She cut hours or fired those that didn't kiss her but. She was lazy and didn't know how to be a manager. She was mean and spent most of her time on her facebook. She only promoted people that were her friends or would take over a job that she could easily do. The Manager was always concerned about costs but would take food home, all the time, at great costs to the company. Both Manager and Assistant Manager put in very little hours. Not a good place to work for until they get proper Management.Nonenot enough hours"

"Pay is poor. Never recognized for hard work. And if someone doesn’t show for their shift guess who is stuck. You. Over worked. Under appreciated. Busted my butt for a boss who really didn’t care. And when a situation did arise it wasn’t discussed with both parties or addressed when it happened but a week after the incident I was left go saying a rule a violated. They didn’t even know the facts. Worked me a whole week after because there was no one else then all of the sudden there was an issue. Wouldn’t recommend this job to anyone."

"Domestic Violence victim. Newport News Days Inn, injured while sleeping, whopping headache, front desk gave out room number. Complained to front desk. Complained to manager. Wrote to corporate headquarters. No response told to take problem up with manager. Assassins fir help? Microtel in Hampyon Va so toxic slept on box spring."

"To begin...1 star is far too high for this establishment. My husband and I was on a weekend road trip and decided to book a last minute room from Priceline.com for the nearest hotel from our location point. The Days Inn located in Lebanon,Mo was the choice. We booked 2 dbl beds Pet friendly and it stated is was NONREFUNDABLE. After checking in and directed to our room we noticed trash in the walkway, very distressed and dirty windows, doors, every area we looked at. Upon entering the room, it was one bed (not 2 doubles as reserved) paper scraps throughout the room on the floor, the fitted sheet was off on one corner and dirty pillowcases on each of the 3 pillows on the bed and a fourth pillow without a pillow case layed in a chair as if it was sat on and dirty. The mirror was missing or broken and removed, the shower ceiling was falling in with a hole that was patched somewhat but did not hold! A dirty washcloth was hanging over the shower rod and a single hand towel was available to us on a rack. There are so many more things to say about the condition of the entire hotel, but the topper of the adventure was the middle of the night screaming and banging on doors and windows and the kicking of whatever objects were in his way, overly intoxicated from the Pub that is within this establishment and it was treated without care or concern from the ONE staff member that was on site. Much longer story but with sum it up to DO NOT EVER go to this hotel if you want to be clean and rest because you wont get it there!"

"Unbelievably unhappy with this establishment. I made reservations more than two weeks in advance. The website said that the card I used to hold the rooms (2) did not have to be the one I used to pay for the rooms, so I used a credit card instead of my debit card. I got a call TWO HOURS before we got there, letting me know that they had run my credit card for the full amount to hold the rooms, and since it was declined, they cancelled my reservations, giving our rooms to someone else. My husband and I were ON THE ROAD with our three kids, and had no place to stay once we got there, even though I had plenty of room on my debit card to pay for them. Either run my card a couple of days in advance, and call me if there's a problem, or change your policy through Hotels.com to state that you have to use the same card you reserve the room(s) with. Never, ever again, will I stay at this establishment, or any other Days Inn. Ever."

"We booked days Inn at Cobham service station. The room was tidy and clean but after getting in to bed that's when we noticed the mattress was horrific, we had 2 hours sleep the whole night. I would have had a better night sleep in my car. When I complained in the morning I got attitude and the worst customer service. The staff argued with me over the mattress, and just looked at me with 'so what do you want us to do about it'. For £97.50 a night I expected more. After me moaning we did get vouchers for breakfast. What bothered me the most was the customer service. I don't expect such rude behavior from staff. Not when I'm paying to stay there."

"Do not recommend! Days Inn Buena Park 7121 Beach blvd. Great location near everything, but next to freeway, too much traffic noise, and sketchy people hanging around and sneaking in to have breakfast, there’s no real breakfast but cereal, toast and muffins. No security guard, and lobby is in construction, and I ended up the next day with itching all over the body, had to go to doctor later on."

"I booked a hotel through Hotwire what you do not know what you're getting until you pay when I paid for this hotel I was attacked by bed bugs on the first night the Days Inn is now Rodeway Inn on Montague Avenue in Charleston South Carolina this place is disgusting and should be burnt down to start over these Indian people are putting people in rooms knowing that they are disgusted with roaches and bedbugs this is horrible to do to customers that are spending their money they need to ship all Indians back to where they came from because they have no concern but to make money it does not matter if it's hurting you or not"

"Scammed by Days Inn Towson, MD Days Inn Towson office manager Jessica Kifer charged me for an extra day that I never stayed in September. I called several times to rectify this was told charge would be reversed but instead she crossed out the original reservation date and added an extra day without my authorization. I checked out on the exact day of original reservation. It was not extended by my authorization. This woman makes Days Inn look like a company that scams their clients. I will never stay there again and don't recommend it unless you want fraudulent charges by Days Inn on your credit card."

"This is dirtiest motel room I've ever encountered. A combination of mildew and cigarettes was not a welcome scent or a great first impression. All surfaces, including the luggage rack, are coated with grime; the chairs are stained. There is a great deal of black mold on the window directly behind the air conditoner. There are boogers on the walls. The bedding in a "non smoking room" is riddled with holes and cigarette burns. I killed two flies during my 6-hour stay here. There was still one lurking somewhere in the room - perhaps it got stuck in the cobweb above the bed. Days Inn corporate does nothing to make the situation right. They refer the issue back to the unprofessional motel manager, who is belligerent and argumentative. He suggested that perhaps I created the mess. He did not offer any theories on how I could have created black mold or cobwebs in a 6-hour time span. Stay anywhere but here. The place is a health hazard and should not be in business."
